Beyond Resolutions: One Session To Create Your New Year
What a year. What. A. Year. Hooboy, this year. Most of us are super duper ready to see it in our rearview.
January 1st, 2021 (or your birthday, or anniversary, or whatever other way we mark time) is just another day, but it can also be an opportunity to be more conscious and intentional about how we spend our days in the weeks and months to come.
At the turn of every year, some clients and I do an exercise. I have them take stock of the year that’s winding down, and look ahead to the new year. There’s some forgiving, some dreaming, some intention-setting. There’s some plan-making and plotting. Instead of making a list of resolutions that will like fizzle out pretty quickly, we look at how they want their new year to feel, what they want to accomplish, where they want to go (yeah, that one might have to wait awhile), and how they want to be. We explore the potential obstacles and how they might get in their own way, and we look at what kind of help they might need.
This year I’m offering this as a stand alone session for people I’m not currently working with. Here’s how it works…
We have a two-hour session (by phone or video) in which I ask you a lot of questions. And you answer them! We have some laughs (tears are okay too)! You essentially make peace with the year that was and create a picture of the year ahead. We’ll talk about structures and frameworks to help make that picture come alive.
After we have our session, I go off and compile what we talked about in a document you can refer to throughout the year. Then we schedule a date later in the new year to check in and see how it’s going (which I’ll throw in for free).
I’d like to offer this to eight people who are not my current clients (four in December, four in January).
If you’re interested, reach out and I’ll give you the scoop!
